Premium Processing
A paid USCIS service guaranteeing action within a set number of business days, available on some forms.
Premium processing is an optional paid service where USCIS commits to taking action within a set number of business days, typically 15 to 45 depending on the form, or it refunds the fee. Taking action means an approval, a denial, or an RFE, not a guaranteed yes.
It is available on select forms, most notably I-140. Eligibility shifts over time, so confirm current rules before relying on it.
It speeds the decision on that one form, but it does not skip visa availability or later steps. It is worth paying when a fast decision unblocks a job start, a status extension, or a deadline.
